Rhyl, Coleg Llandrillo

The Rhyl Campus has been extensively re-developed and upgraded in recent years.

The modern facilities include purpose-built centres for Construction and Automotive Technology, which enable students to gain firsthand experience of working with the latest industry-standard equipment. These include Hybrid Technology and Vehicle Climate Control Systems.

The new Rhyl Sixth building, which opened in September 2010, provides a dedicated Sixth Form centre for students studying both A Levels and Vocational courses, with a choice of over 50 AS & A Level and Vocational options.

The Campus is also a major provider of retail training for the region. The first National Skills Academy for Retail in Wales was established at the Rhyl Campus, where Mary Portas (Queen of Shops) Master Classes are also delivered.

The Hairdressing & Nails Salons are open to the public, and offer a wide range of top-quality treatments for very competitive prices. These are carried out to the highest commercial standards by students, who are fully supervised by experienced tutors.

A wide range of courses is offered from introductory through to university level. These include full-time courses for both young people and mature students, part-time courses for those wishing to improve their job prospects or to study for pleasure, and work-
based training opportunities on the Campus and in the workplace.
