Coleg Llandrillo Cymru

Bullying

The College operates a zero tolerance policy on Bullying.

Bullying/harassment is something that someone does on purpose that is meant to hurt you. Bullying can take many forms:-

  • name calling, teasing or spreading unkind stories
  • physical – hitting, kicking, pushing
  • sending cruel and hurtful text messages or emails
  • posting cruel or hurtful things on Social Interactive sites such as FaceBook

When this behaviour becomes persistent and threatening, then bullying can become a major problem for all concerned. What you can do:

  • Initially tell your Personal Tutor or a member of staff that you feel comfortable with about what is happening - don't be afraid to come forward
  • Your Personal Tutor explores things with you and the accused's Tutor explores things with them and hopefully the situation gets sorted.
  • Ultimately disciplinary action will be taken against the individual if the incident/s have taken place on campus/College transport.
  • If it is happening on the Internet then report it to the appropriate administrator.
