Personal Tutor Support

As a full-time student, you will have a Personal Tutor to assist and support you throughout your time at College. Your Personal Tutor will meet regularly with you and:

• help plan your programme of study
• help you arrange extra learning support if needed
• monitor your attendance
• arrange careers interviews for you
• help you plan for the future and write your reference
• help you prepare for the world of work
• review your progress in each subject area
• liaise with your family, send them regular reports and invite them to student review evenings.

Part of your Personal Tutor’s responsibility is to monitor your attendance. You must attend all your classes. If your attendance falls below an acceptable standard, you could be withdrawn from your course. You are responsible for informing your Tutor of any absences from College. Your Personal Tutor will explain the full details of the College’s attendance policy to you.
