Getting to and from College

The College has campuses across North Wales and provides a number of ways for students to get to and from their main site of study. If you are a full-time, Further Education student who:

• are under the age of 19 on 31 August 2011
• lives in the county boroughs of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Gwynedd
• lives over three miles from the College campus you attend

Then you will be eligible for daily transport between the closest bus/train stop to your primary residence and the College campus you are attending.

Gwynedd residents will qualify for transport to Coleg Meirion Dwyfor campuses only and not any Coleg Llandrillo Cymru campus.

From September 2011 Gwynedd County Council have introduced a £60 or £100 per term contribution charge for all post 16 students. Please refer to their website on www.gwynedd.gov/studenttravelpass for more information.

The Local Education Authority and the College provides a fleet of buses to transport eligible students to and from the Glynllifon and Rhos-on-Sea Campuses. A public transport bus or train pass will be issued to eligible students studying at all other College Llandrillo Cymru and Coleg Meirion Dwyfor campuses.

All students eligible to use the College transport service will be issued with a valid bus pass during the enrolment process when starting at College. Students are required to present a valid bus pass for all journeys on College transport.

The College transport pickup points are listed on the College website and Moodle pages. The list provides the boarding points, pick up and drop off times for each College transport service route. Public transport information is also signposted.

Full-time students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities who are aged under 19 and live in the county boroughs of Conwy, Denbighshire or Gwynedd should contact the Transport Co-ordinator to discuss how the College may be able to help.
