Assembly Learning Grant - ALG

An Assembly Learning Grant is a payment of up to £1,500 to help with the cost of continuing in, or returning to College. You may be eligible for ALG FE if :

• You are aged 19 or over on the 1st September 2009;
• Your household income is £17,700 or below;
• You meet the residency and nationality rules as set out for the ALG FE Scheme; and
• You are studying an eligible further education course that involved at last 275 hours of study in the academic year 2009/10.

The table below shows how much you could be eligible for, based on your household income and the number of hours you will be studying :

To apply you will need to complete an ALG FE application form.  These forms are available from all campuses of Coleg Llandrillo Cymru (Rhos on Sea Campus, Abergele Community College, Rhyl Community College, and Denbigh Community College) or can be downloaded at www.studentfinancewales.co.uk/ALG.
