Students’ Union

Coleg Llandrillo Cymru is fortunate in being one of only a few Further Education Colleges to have a Students' Union (SU) with a paid SU President post. The SU is affiliated to the National Union of Students (NUS) and all students are automatically entitled to be members of the students' union, benefiting from its affiliation with the NUS.

The SU President is elected towards the end of each academic year and takes up their appointment in September. The SU President is supported by an elected voluntary executive committee, which is made up of Officer posts including:

• Vice President
• Equal Opportunities Officer
• Welfare Officer
• International Officer
• Entertainments Officer

Elections for Officer posts take place in September - if you want to get involved in YOUR union and if you are interested in any of the above voluntary posts then please get in touch with the SU President Stephen Williams. The success of the SU depends on your support!

The SU represents the views and interests of all students in College matters and also organises social events, clubs and societies. Your views and opinions can be communicated to the College through either the Students Union or the student representative for your course. The Students' Union represents the interests of students on various College committees including the Governing Body and Academic Board.

How you can get involved?

• Volunteer for one of the Officer positions.
• Put yourself forward to become a student rep for your course
• Help to organise a SU club, society or social event
• Attend one of the SU social events
• Make your views or suggestions known to the SU President
• Encourage your friends to get involved in the SU
