Most campuses offer a library resource centre which includes books, magazines, journals, DVDs, videos and electronic resources to support your studies.
Students from other campuses can use the Library Resource Centre at the Rhos-on-Sea Campus, which is open on Saturdays and some evenings term-time and daily during the holidays. Call 01492 542 342 to check the opening times.
The Library also has a range of options to check the resources available:
All students in possession of a valid Coleg Llandrillo Cymru student ID card are automatically library members. Students on part-time courses who do not receive a College ID card can still join the library on production of proof of enrolment and must provide one passport sized photograph.
Interlibrary-Library Loans (ILL) is a system which allows you to obtain material from other libraries not held here at Coleg Llandrillo Cymru. Most items are supplied through the LINC Y Gogledd scheme - which is free of charge. Other items (including articles from journals, books, conference reports or theses) can be obtained from the British Library. There is a fee of £2 for this service.
To request an item ask for a request form available at the library counter. Complete as many details as possible from your source of reference. Books - Author, title, Date, publisher. Journal articles - Title of journal, date, volume, page number and author and title of the article.
Inter-library loan request details for journal articles can be obtained, and a printable request form downloaded, from the British Library's ZETOC web site. Bring the completed form to the library with your £2 fee and the article will be dispatched to your home address by the British Library in two working days.
Library staff will be pleased to help with any matter relating to the service, email library@llandrillo.ac.uk.
Students can reserve any item currently on loan. Please enquire at the library desk or email the library on library@llandrillo.ac.uk.
