Various fund-raising events were in full swing across Coleg Llandrillo Cymru and its campuses in Abergele, Denbigh, Llanrwst and Rhyl, as groups of students and staff were out and about raising money for Children in Need. The grand total raised exceeded £1,000 with donations still coming in!

IT tutor Jill Roberts ‘volunteered’ to be placed in stocks and have wet sponges thrown at her, much to the delight of students! Another group of Jill’s asked for donations to fill a picture of Pudsey. Jill and her students raised over £100.

Hairdressing and Construction students traded places for the day: Construction students got their hands on curlers, straighteners and scissors and were let loose on real clients in the College’s Hairdressing salons, whilst Hairdressing students got stuck into painting a variety of chairs.

Staff and students at Coleg Llandrillo Abergele raised over £100 selling cakes and cookies, and hosting a ‘Guess the Weight of the Cake’ competition.

Male staff and students at Coleg Llandrillo Rhyl agreed to have their legs waxed in the name of Pudsey, whilst the College’s Skilbuild students raised £50 in one morning with their 'Lucky Dip' and 'Guess the Name of the Teddy’ competitions.

Beauty Therapy students at the Rhos-on-Sea campus dressed as real life Barbie dolls and Mother Christmases and some came to College in their pyjamas! They provided nail services, waxing and brow shaping for donations.

Independent Living Skills students raised £20 with their 'Guess What's in the Box' activity.
