Coleg Llandrillo Cymru students are celebrating after having two of their photographs accepted by Google Earth.
Part-time STEPS students from the Independent Living Skills (ILS) department undertook a digital photography project as a part of their Multimedia course. They decided to put together a chronological photographic diary of the College’s new £8 million Marine & Built Environment Centre (MBEC) from its beginning to the recent completion.
Tutor Melanie Sampson said: “The photographs were so good we decided to submit two of the best to Google Earth. The photos have been accepted and are now there for the whole world to see.”
Independent Living Skills courses are for students with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. Some courses are vocational, whilst others aim to develop life skills and basic skills. All courses are designed to meet the needs of the learner.
