The Ten Commitments
March 2009

for both Colleges.
Both Colleges have made and agreed commitments
about what would happen if the merger goes ahead.
If the Colleges merge, both Colleges are committed to:

- Investing in the campus infrastructure

- Ensuring that the bilingual ethos of the Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor sites is maintained and further developed; develop the bilingual ethos of Coleg Llandrillo Cymru sites
- Maintaining the range of bilingual provision at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor sites and further developing the provision on Coleg Llandrillo Cymru sites
- Ensuring that all staff are treated fairly and that any change in conditions of service will be by mutual agreement

- Maintaining and developing the links with local schools to ensure effective progression and bilingual opportunities for learners in partnership with the relevant local authority
- Working with DCELLS and other bodies to ensure that the priorities noted in Skills that Work for Wales are implemented in the whole area covered by both organisations so that learners are able to gain the skills and qualifications required for further study or work, and hence benefit the North West Wales economy.
