Support, Guidance & Finance
Q. Will my child be able to claim EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance)?
A. Yes.
Q. My eldest son is in the sixth form at Rhyl High at the moment and
mentors some of the younger pupils. He enjoys this and I think it has
been a very valuable experience for him. Will my daughter, who starts her AS course in September, be able to do the same thing?
A. Yes. Both the School and the College think it is very important that there are very close links between The Rhyl Sixth and Rhyl High School and that these continue when The Rhyl Sixth transfers to the new centre.
Q. How will I be informed of my child’s progress?
A. By a written report at the end of term 1 and 2 and through parents’ evenings in January and April. You will also be contacted by telephone or email should
