Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirement of a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above applies including a minimum of a grade C in English.

AS Level Course Detail

Students study film text (the ‘language of film’) and spectatorship (‘reading a film’), the film industry (Hollywood, UK, etc) and the messages and values in classic and contemporary British and Irish films.

A2 Level Course Detail

Students study world cinema, the film industry in more detail and produce a short film as coursework.

Additional Information

Assuming you attain a grade in the AS course then you can upgrade to the A2 course in Year 13. This is a useful course for progression in publishing, marketing, media and education.
