Entry Requirements

The standard entry requirement of a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above applies including mathematics. A minimum of a grade C in a science based subject is highly desirable.

AS Level Course Detail

Unit 1; How digital systems work, designing systems, investigation of amplifiers, designing amplifiers Unit 2; Designing and building basic power supplies, simple transistor amplifiers, timing circuits and sensors

A2 Level Course Detail

Unit 3; Microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers.

Additional Information

Assuming you attain a grade in the AS course it may be possible to upgrade to the A2 course in Year 13. This is a very creative and hands-on course.
