Level 3 Business, Retail & Finance students at the Coleg Llandrillo’s Rhos-on-Sea Campus have organised a ‘Live Music Charity Event’ in aid of Papyrus – a charity that deals with the prevention of young suicide.
The event will take place at the Nova Starlight Suite, Central Beach, Prestatyn on Friday 8 March at 7.30pm. There will be 3 live bands, 2 solo singers and 1 DJ (all College students) appearing on the night.
One of the organisers, Kayleigh Smith from Prestatyn, said: “We have worked really hard to present a professional night’s entertainment. Tickets have been flying out, but there are still some left. The charity is special to me as I know friends who have contacted Papyrus during times of need.”
Papyrus offer confidential young suicide prevention advice, as well as aiming to reduce the stigma associated with suicide through ‘suicideTALK’, increase awareness of young suicide and how to help prevent it, provide services such as HOPELineUK, SMS and email advice, campaign as a UK charity to prevent young suicide, and contribute to local, regional and national suicide prevention strategic action plans.
Tickets for the event are only £3.50 (£5 on the door) and are available from the Nova box office.
